Visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Nairobi

The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, located within Nairobi National Park, is a globally acclaimed conservation organization renowned for its pioneering work in rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants and rhinos. Established in 1977 by Dame Daphne Sheldrick in memory of her husband, David Sheldrick, the Trust has successfully raised over 320 orphaned elephants, reintegrating them into the wild. The Nairobi Nursery offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness these young elephants during their daily routines, providing both an educational and heartwarming experience.

During the one-hour visit, guests observe the orphaned elephants as they enjoy their midday feeding and mud bath. Knowledgeable keepers provide insights into each elephant’s background, the rehabilitation process, and the broader conservation efforts of the Trust. The experience is both informative and emotionally engaging, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.

We collaborate closely with the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to ensure a seamless experience for your clients. Our packages can be tailored to include transportation, guided tours, and combined itineraries with other Nairobi attractions.
