Skukuza Golf Course was originally designed and constructed by the park staff in 1972. The course is not attributed to a single renowned designer but reflects the collective effort of individuals passionate about creating a golfing experience that harmonizes with the natural environment. The layout takes full advantage of the park’s landscape, offering a course that is both challenging and in tune with its surroundings.

Signature Holes

Hole 2: This par 4 hole is renowned for its challenging layout and proximity to the Sabie River. Golfers must navigate a narrow fairway with dense bush on either side and avoid the water hazard near the green.

Hole 5: A picturesque par 3, hole 5 requires a precise tee shot over a natural water feature to a well-guarded green. The surrounding landscape and potential wildlife sightings make it a memorable hole.

Hole 9: The finishing hole, a par 5, offers a dramatic conclusion to the round. With a long fairway that doglegs around a water hazard and an approach shot to an elevated green, it tests golfers’ skills and nerve while providing stunning views of the surrounding bushveld.

The 9-hole, par 72 course, which can be played as an 18-hole round, spans over 5,950 meters (6,510 yards) and is designed to challenge and delight golfers of all skill levels.
