Ascot going beyond expectations

Ascot - Springboks vs All Blacks

Unforgettable moments on and off the course with Ascot

With Ascot Tours, you can play golf, go on safari, and enjoy much more. You might ask what the “much more” part means.

Well, we give your clients the best experiences anyone could ask for – like introducing them to rugby’s greatest rivalry when South Africa took on New Zealand in Cape Town on 7 September in the Rugby Championship. Some of them may not have known anything about the sport before, but let me tell you, they are now hooked and ardent Bok supporters after the Springboks beat the All Blacks.

The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric. There’s something truly unique about the energy that rugby brings out in South Africans, and it was a privilege to share that with people experiencing it for the first time, appropriately dressed in the green and gold colours of the Springboks.

Throughout the match, we enjoyed lively conversations about the rules of the game, which admittedly, can be quite complex to first-time spectators. But the newbies caught on and it wasn’t long before they were as engrossed in the game as anyone else.

By the time the final whistle blew and the Springboks sealed their win, the new fans were on their feet, cheering alongside the locals. They couldn’t stop talking about the match afterwards, and I could see they’d caught the rugby fever that grips this nation.

It was a perfect reminder of why we do what we do at Ascot Tours – providing your clients with unforgettable moments on and off the golf course that go beyond their expectations.

South Africa and all this incredible country have to offer are on full display in this week’s newsletter, including insights on a New Zealand group who may still be sulking about the rugby, but had nothing but great things to say about their trip with Ascot.

The Best of South Africa tour includes seven rounds of golf, a trip up Table Mountain, wine-tasting and Big Five game drives, to name but a few. We also have a few suggestions for additional South African trips to make your clients’ golf safari a memorable one.

I’ll be heading to Lisbon in October for the 2024 International Golf Travel Market fully intend on looking for new and innovative ways to keep on working on our incentives that are designed to make our African golf and safari tours even more attractive, helping you to encourage bookings.

We look forward to sharing many more incredible experiences with you.
