The Africa Golf Classic extends an exclusive invitation to golfers from around the world to join this event designed for the connoisseur of the sport. This four-round Individual Stableford contest accommodates divisions based on handicaps, ensuring a spirited challenge for both ladies and gentlemen. A grand celebration will take place, featuring a prize-giving ceremony to commemorate the victorious golfers. The champions will be awarded a prestigious jacket as a symbol of their extraordinary achievement.

The 2025 Africa Golf Classic: Kenya is held in Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya. Players will grace the fairways of the Karen Golf Course, Muthaiga Golf Course, and Leisure Beach Golf Course, each offering a masterful blend of natural beauty and technical challenge.

International Night 

Participants will be invited to a dinner provided they dress up or wear something that represents their home country. As the drinks flow and the spirits rise, the AGC team will urge attendees to perform songs from their nation. Canapes representing the various countries will be served alongside South African wines and local brews. A local DJ will play music from various countries while urging people to sing their national anthems, with the highlight being the local workers singing the South African National Anthem. The best dressed male and female will receive awards.

Day 1

Nairobi

Trademark Hotel

Land at Nairobi Airport and enjoy a smooth transfer to the stunning Trademark Hotel, nestled in the vibrant Village Market complex. Registration: Freshen up and check in for the exhilarating golf tournament. Receive your welcome pack and event shirt while mingling with fellow participants and event organizers.
 
Evening: Begin the Africa Golf Classic with a captivating evening of canapés and a curated selection of fine wines during the welcome festivities and tournament briefing. 

Day 2

Nairobi

Trademark Hotel

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Golf: Embark on your first round at the prestigious Muthaiga Golf Club. Enjoy the service of a personal caddie and a grab-and-go snack at the halfway point, with a refreshing drink to keep you going. Toast to the day’s game with a bucket of ice-cold beer and water per fourball.

Day 3

Nairobi

Trademark Hotel

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Golf: Take on the esteemed Karen Country Club for your second round. Caddies, a halfway house snack, and a refreshing drink are provided. End the day’s play with a celebratory bucket of ice-cold beer and water per fourball. Evening: Enjoy an array of dining experiences at The Village Market at your leisure.

Day 4

Diani Beach

Diamonds Leisure Beach Lodge

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast from 06:00-11:00. Day: Spend a leisurely morning before transferring to the airport for a short flight to Ukunda Airport. Upon arrival in Diani, you will be warmly greeted and taken to the breathtaking Diamonds Leisure Beach Lodge on Diani Beach. Evening: Participate in the "Impossible Chip Competition" on the beach for a chance to win a spot in any future Africa Golf Classic. Stay: Rest in a Pool Side Room at the luxurious Diamonds Leisure Beach Resort.

Day 5

Diamonds Leisure Beach Lodge

Challenge yourself at the Leisure Beach Golf Course for your third round. Caddies, a halfway house snack, and a refreshing drink at the turn are included. Celebrate your round with a bucket of ice-cold beer and water per fourball. Evening: Relish the exquisite dining options at Diamonds Leisure Beach Resort, all included in your All-Inclusive package. 

Day 6

Diani Beach

Diamonds Leisure Beach Lodge

The final round at Leisure Beach Golf Course will crown the tournament champion. Enjoy the services of caddies, a grab-and-go snack at the halfway point, and a refreshing drink. Celebrate the conclusion of the tournament with a bucket of ice-cold beer and water per fourball.

Celebration: End the tournament with a grand prize-giving ceremony on the beach. Dress up for "International Night"! Represent your country, enjoy a global selection of cuisines, and sing along to popular hits from home. Stay: Spend your final night at the Diamonds Leisure Beach Resort.

Day 7

Diani Beach

Diamonds Leisure Beach Lodge

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel from 06:00-11:00. Departure: Transfer to the airport for your flight home, or extend your stay with a post-safari adventure to explore more of Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes.

Competition rules 

The competition is a 3 round individual stableford competition with different divisions, according to your handicap, in both a ladies and mens divisions.

  • Division 1 men: 0-12 handicap
  • Division 2 men: 13-24 handicap (24 handicap max)
  • Division 1 ladies: 0-11 handicap
  • Division 2 ladies: 18-36 handicap (24 handicap max)

A minimum of 8 golfers is required in a division, and the tournament organizers have the right to change the division handicap requirements should they be required.

There is a daily handicapping system in place. Once the full field average has been calculated, the handicaps will be adjusted according to the scores of the day. An example is below:

  • Field average of 30 points
  • Buffer zone of 27-33 points where no handicap changes take place
  • For each point 34 and above, you lose one shot off your handicap
  • For every two points below 26, you gain one shot on your handicap
