Situated in Phakalane, a suburb of Gaborone, Phakalane Golf Estate & Hotel is home to an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Douw van der Merwe of DDV Design Group. Construction of the course commenced in April 2000 and was completed by June 2002. The course spans 6,886 yards and features 15 dams and 75 bunkers, with greens averaging 700 square meters in size.

The course is set against a backdrop of stunning natural landscapes, featuring lush fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and challenging water hazards. Each hole offers a unique playing experience, with varying terrain and obstacles to navigate. One of the standout features is the signature 9th hole, a par 3 that overlooks a picturesque lake. This hole requires precision and skill to navigate the water hazard and reach the green safely, leaving a lasting impression on golfers.
